Care should always be taken when using professional active facial products for the first time. 

If you have not been using a professional skincare range, your skin's barrier function may be compromised and the use of
active ingredients as found in professional products may cause initial short-term mild irritation, as your skin acclimatizes. 

We advise that if you and your skin are new to professional facial products, that you begin by using these products no more than 3x/week and slowly increase to a daily application. 

 


FACIAL CARE

Do I have to use the same products from the same skin care lines or can I mix and match?

No, you dont. Mila D’Opiz prides itself on the versatility of our skincare lines. You can choose your own combination by mixing and matching products from our different collections to suit your pocket and your specific skin type.  

When is the best time to start using anti-aging products?

It is recommended to start using anti-aging skincare products from around 20-25 years of age. But it is never too late to give your skin the anti-aging care it needs to slow down the signs of premature aging.

How can I stop the onset of aging?

Start protecting your skin from an early age. On a daily basis, protect your skin from the sun, by applying sunscreen, after every skin routine. Cleanse your skin gently. Eat a healthy well-balanced diet. Mila D’Opiz has one of the most effective anti-aging lines and other skin care lines to assist you in preventing premature aging. 

The secret to preventing the premature aging of your skin is to start caring for your skin from an early age. This includes cleansing your skin gently (morning and evening), protecting your skin from daily sun damage by using products that contain an SPF, and eating a well-balanced diet.  

Choose from any of our Mila D’Opiz anti-aging lines to assist in regenerating and restoring your skin: the hydrating Hyaluronic line, the Classics line, the Derma Science line, the Skin Whisperer line, the Phyto De Luxe line or the Vegan Green Caviar line. When should I be using eye cream?

Ideally, the application of an eye cream in your early 20s can be an effective preventive measure to delay the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. The area around your eyes is very thin and delicate, making an eye cream a must-have in any skincare routine. 

Can I use the same fascial cream day and night?

Yes, you can. Our facial creams can certainly double-up as day and night creams. However, day creams tend to be lighter than night creams which are designed to give your skin the extra overnight hydration it needs.

How important is it to cleanse and tone your skin?

The daily cleansing of your skin - morning and evening - not only preps the skin for more effective absorption of facial serums and creams but it is also the first step in preventing your skin from drying out, pores clogging and the effects of premature aging.

How important is exfoliation?

Exfoliation - once or twice a week - is a vital step in your weekly skincare regime as it removes dead skin cells and preps your skin to absorb the facial creams suited to your skin type. 

 

What type of reactions are normal when using facial products?

A slight tingling and redness may occur and is a normal reaction. But, if your skin starts burning, reduce the usage of that product. If you have an allergic reaction, stop using the product immediately. 

Do your products work for younger or older skin?

The versatility of the Mila D’Opiz skincare lines include products for all ages and all skin types. The Skin Clear line is specifically suitable for teenage skin. For an effective anti-aging routine, we recommend that you browse the different lines as we have various anti-aging products. If you have a combination skin, the Classics range will effectively target oily areas. For sensitive skin, the Mila Sensitive Line is the calming care your skin needs. For oily, impure and problem skin, we recommend the Skin Clear line.

Which of your skin care lines are suitable for sensitive skin?

The mild, soothing and therapeutic benefits of the Mila Sensitive range - enriched with medicinal plant extracts - makes it our go-to line for sensitive skin types. And our Vegan Green Caviar line (which is also paraben-free) and our Hyaluronic4 line are also suitable for sensitive skin.

How does the Mila White Shade work on my skin?

The Mila White Shade line is a unique brightening and complexion-transforming range that is suitable for all skin types. Enriched with ingredients that are derived from plant actives, it gently assists in reducing pigmentation disorders to visibly enhance the skin’s appearance. Please make sure you use additional UV protection when using the products from this range.

Why do you only have one Cleansing and Toning line across all your skin ranges?

The Microbiome range from Mila D’Opiz is a new fermented cleansing line that adapts to all skin types. It has been specifically formulated to support the moisture balance and maintains the delicate, natural microbiome of the skin. The Basic Cleansing Milk also contains sinapic acid which is an effective organic UV-B filter.

Will these products work for my kids/teens?

Our Skin Clear line is the perfect product range for teenage skin as it normalises sebum production resulting in clearer, less inflamed skin and is therefore ideally suited for acne prone skin. It can however also be used for all ages where impure skin occurs.

Can men use Mila D’Opiz products?

We have a Men’s range of products across our various skincare lines. The Mila Sensitive line and the Derma Science line are also specifically suitable for men.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Once product/s have been ordered, confirmed and payment has been cleared, the product/s will be delivered to our customers within 3-5 working days.

Due to the use of 3rd party couriers, the above delivery times are estimates only and may be subject to change. Depending on the courier company, certain areas within major centres may be considered outlying. 

If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date, Mila D’Opiz shall not be liable for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery. If you are unavailable to take delivery or collection, the courier company will contact you for re-delivery. 

Although reasonable care will be taken by Mila D’Opiz, we accept no responsibility whatsoever for incorrect delivery details or if an unauthorized person at the delivery address accepts delivery of the package.

What is the standard shipping fee?

The standard delivery charge is R95 to all major regions within South Africa. This fee may be subject to change depending on package size and remote locations.

We offer free delivery in South Africa for orders over the value of R1500.

NOTE: Some deliveries might be delayed due to stock availability.

What payment options do I have?

You can pay safely and securely with Credit Card/Debit Cards or EFT. Payments on miladopiz.co.za are completely secure. Your bank details are encrypted in SSL mode and are never kept or stored on the site.

What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock?

Should the product you ordered temporarily be out of stock, we will contact you within 2 working days to notify you and to suggest product options that you may swap for another similar product or we will arrange a refund on the item that you purchased.

Can I change my delivery address after I’ve ordered?

Unfortunately, once an order is submitted and payment has been made, you will not be able to change the delivery address. 

 You can, however, contact us on 0126869147 or at sales@miladopiz.co.za and, depending on the status of your order, we will see if we can update your delivery address, before the order goes out. However, this is not guaranteed, depending on the status of your order.

How do I change or cancel my order?

If you have ordered any items and you wish to cancel your order, please send an email to info@mila.dopiz with the subject line "URGENT ORDER CANCELLATION" within 2 hours of placing the order and we will do our best to cancel your order. 

However, once a transaction has begun being processed, it cannot be modified or cancelled.

After the order has been processed, it will be shipped and our standard return policy will apply.

How do I change or cancel my order?

Is my information that I give to Mila D’Opiz shared with any other parties?

We respect your privacy. We also adhere to the POPI Act. The information you provide will not be given to any 3rd party without your express consent. Read our Privacy Policy for additional information.

What if my favourite product is discontinued? Can I still purchase it?

Decisions to discontinue or introduce a new product are made by Mila D’Opiz in Switzerland. Sometimes, certain products are replaced with newer updated products that contain upgraded ingredients. We will advise of this on our website. We are happy to assist you in offering you our new replacements or finding you an alternate favourite.

Are all products dermatologically tested?

Yes. All Mila D’Opiz products are dermatologically tested and are suitable for all skin types. All our products are manufactured to the highest standards in a certified laboratory. Furthermore, all Mila D’Opiz products have undergone intensive testing by our independent, internationally recognised testing laboratory. All products are also allergy tested and toxicologically tested. Our products are produced virtually carbon-neutrally. This is made possible through the use of district heating to heat the building and the in-house processing of white steam.

Are products tested on animals?

Yes. All Mila D’Opiz products are dermatologically tested and are suitable for all skin types. All our products are manufactured to the highest standards in a certified laboratory. Furthermore, all Mila D’Opiz products have undergone intensive testing by our independent, internationally recognised testing laboratory. All products are also allergy tested and toxicologically tested. Our products are produced virtually carbon-neutrally. Are products tested on animals?

Mila D’Opiz strongly disagrees with the practice of animal testing, so much so that all of our dermatological testing is performed on human test subjects, with prior consent. None of the Mila D’Opiz products, or any of their ingredients, are tested on animals by either Mila D’Opiz or any of its raw material suppliers.

Why don’t Mila D’Opiz products have expiry dates?

Mila D’Opiz products comply with the 7th Amendment of European Cosmetic Directive which specifies that products that last for 36 months or more do not require a ‘best before date.’ Three-year-retention samples of Mila D’Opiz products were tested and showed no deterioration in colour, density, clarity, odour or viscosity. A ‘best before date’ is therefore not needed. However, Mila D’Opiz products do have a POA (open jar) symbol on the packaging so that consumers can feel more confident that they can continue to use the products after opening. For Mila D’Opiz products, the period after opening the product, is up to 36 months.

Are products packaged in recyclable packaging?

Yes, all Mila D’Opiz products are packaged in recyclable materials. Mila D’Opiz creates sustainable and resource-saving products produced exclusively in Switzerland, guaranteeing quality while preserving our beautiful landscape.

How can I get an ingredient listing?

We list the ingredients in each product on the single product page.

Can you send me samples?

Unfortunately, samples are not available for distribution to the general public. Samples are occasionally available during special promotions and, when available, at the online checkout when making a purchase. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT SAMPLES WILL BE AVAILABLE.
